Street Retreat Program

Street Retreats are a popular, fun and meaningful way of engaging with students around the issues of homelessness and poverty. Currently our Street Retreats are only happening in Brisbane, with plans to expand  to other areas such as the Gold Coast, Rockhampton and Mackay. Each Street Retreat varies in length ranging from a one-day experience to several days. Street Retreats are a collaborative initiative between Vinnies and your school with the purpose of meeting the needs and learning outcomes of your students. A major part of our Street Retreats involves connecting with other organisations that work in supporting people who are experiencing homelessness and poverty.

Due to the nature of Street Retreats, this program is only offered to students in Years 9-12. If you would like to know more about organising a Street Retreat for your students, please complete the Expression of Interest form below or contact your local Youth Engagement Officer.
