SCHOOL ENGAGEMENTS

Social justice is everyone’s responsibility & should not be limited by age; advocacy can happen at every level of society and at any age.

The St Vincent de Paul Society is passionate about supporting school communities to develop compassionate and empathetic, socially aware students. We do this by offering a wide range of programs and services designed at supporting a service learning model of teaching and learning. Our programs and services provide a clear link to curriculum, with opportunities for teachers and students to support their local community by participating in the good works of the Society. We currently provide a number of engagement opportunities for students from Year 4 right through to Year 12, including classroom curriculum resources designed to support the subjects already being taught. We also provide a service learning experience for teachers to further develop a deeper understanding of homelessness and other social injustices.
