Sleepout
An initiative of the Winter Appeal, encouraging young people to advocate and stand in solidarity with some of the most vulnerable members of our society
Homelessness is a rising issue in Australia. An estimated 116,427 people are facing life without somewhere safe, stable and secure to live. Community groups such as schools, parish ministries and youth groups are invited to participate in the Vinnies Sleepout Initiative and help advocate and raise awareness for people within their community who might be experiencing homelessness. The Vinnies Sleepout Initiative provides the opportunity for participants to experience what it might be like to ‘sleep rough’ for an evening.
The Vinnies Sleepout is designed so that any community group can host and run their own event. To register please complete the form below.
